Volunteering

Thank you for your interest in Volunteering. Here at Maya, we are always looking for volunteers or, Mayans, as we call them to help out with daily operations. We’ve been lucky enough in the past to have had both local and international volunteers since the beginning, and we hope this will continue. Helping out Maya can take on all kinds of roles in education, construction, agriculture and management. We like to choose roles for volunteers by matching their interests, experiences, and desires with the school’s needs and resources at the time of volunteering. While we cover all food and accommodation costs for long-term volunteers, we do ask shorter-term volunteers to contribute $10/day towards food and accommodation.
